We are enjoying The Action Bible Anytime Devotions published by David C Cook.  As a father of 6 boys you can imagine that we have a lot of action at our house.  The Action Bible Anytime Devotions book is a soft cover book with lots of colorfull pictures packed with action.

Action Bible

The boys really enjoyed looking at all the pictures.  We try to read devotions every night before bed, so its nice to read The Action Bible Anytime Devotions with all the pictures. The pictures are comic book like, and they are full of action.  The boys especially loved the picture of Job with all his boils and of course the picture of David and Goliath.

Each devotion spans two pages.  There are categories for each devotion.  You can see in the picture below the topic of the devotion is Trust.  The devotion starts out with a verse and then there is a story to illustrate the topic.  Then there are some applications that go along with the lesson and prayers that they can pray.  I really liked the devotional content in The Action Bible Anytime Devotions however, It would have been nice if the pictures on the page matched the Bible story in the devotion.  The boys kept looking for pictures and then wanting to read that Bible story.

While I read The Action Bible Anytime Devotions to my younger kids, I would also recommend it for your older children who can read.  My 12 year old also read some of the devotions and he really enjoyed them and he also enjoyed the pictures.
